Haven't worked with colored pencils in ages!
It was fun XP About the title: "Marisopa" is a misspeling of "Mariposa", which means "butterfly" in spanish. The girl in the picture (original char of mine) is named Marisopa. My first language is Spanish, btw... Taisho is a japanese era from 1912 to 1926. There is an art style from around that period called "Taisho Romantic" or "Taisho Roman". Kimonos with Taisho Roman patterns are very colorful and pretty, and a couple fo them inspired the patterns on this picture :3 Hope you like it  Original size: 8,5x11 - ish Tools: old scrap piece of Opaline paper, Faber-castell Polychromos Colors on the picture are more vivid than the original. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments. The 0-5 Comments Issues feature a deviant as well as 3 deviations with less than 5 original comments from a wide selection of art. y con eso que andas metida en la onda Vocaloid por Rin y Len, Marisopa me hace pensar en UTAUloid. No que haya uno parecido a ella, solo que se me hace lo suficiente linda como para ser una... más con esos audífonos.
Esos diseños de patrones taisho te quedaron adorables y con muchos detalles. Son mi parte favorita de este trabajo. Trabajas muy bien lo digital... pero me gustaría ver más de tí en medios tradicionales.
(Y ahi si tienes chance de dar algun "tip" en la técnica de coloreo sobre opalina, te lo agradecería jaja)
